/ NANOPLASTY
- What is Nanoplasty?
-
Nanoplasty is a new type of hair straightening. It’s a hair restorer which is an alternative to keratin treatments. Nanoplasty achieves the same or an even better result than a keratin treatment, which is to permanently straighten and smooth the hair.
Nanoplasty is safe for pregnant women because it doesn’t contain harsh chemicals or formaldehyde. Nanoplasty’s straightening effects can last up to 8 months or until your hair grows out.
This treatment restores and nourishes your hair, leaving you with a healthy, silky appearance. The Nanoplasty formula is rich in amino acids, which under heat, penetrate the cortical layer of the hair. This integrates into the structure of the hair, strengthening it from the inside.

What is the difference between Keratin Treatment and Nanoplasty?
-
The difference between Nanoplasty and keratin treatments is the chemical makeup of each. Both our Nanoplasty and Keratin products are free of formaldehyde and contain only natural, vegan-friendly ingredients.
Nanoplasty combines two acids to create the perfect smooth, manageable, hydrated hair. Our Nanoplasty will leave your hair looking glossy but natural. Although it does make the hair straight, you will not lose volume (your hair won’t be flat) or movement.
Both treatments are very effective: a keratin treatment can last up to 4 months whereas the Nanoplasty treatment lasts approximately 4-8 months or as your hair grows out.
Nanoplasty is a better treatment than keratin for those with thin or fine hair, assuming that it is not damaged.
If you’re still not sure about which one to choose, don’t worry; we can decide it on the day of your appointment as well.
FAQs
- Can I tie up my hair?
- Other salons may require you to wait for 3 days before you can make any impressions on the hair because they leave the product in during this time (which can be harmful to the hair). Because we wash the hair straight after the treatment, you can tie the hair up. As long as you wash the hair after the treatment, you can do whatever you like to your hair.
- What shampoo should I use after treatment?
- Once the treatment has been washed out, we recommend using salon-quality shampoo and conditioner. Opt for hydration, moisture, and nourishment daily. Use a repair mask every second week or once per week if you’re blonde.
- We use and recommend the following brands for shampoo and conditioner, as well as styling products. We sell these brands in-store and on our website.
Angel en Provence
Lust
Keune
- Do your treatments contain formaldehyde?
- Our treatments are not as harsh as chemical relaxers. In the past, keratin treatments have contained formaldehyde which is responsible for locking the hair into a sleek and smooth position for months at a time. The side effects of formaldehyde are problematic for pregnant women and have made some sceptical of the safety of keratin treatments, but both our keratin and Nanoplasty products are formaldehyde-free.
- Will a treatment be okay with my damaged hair?
- The short answer is No. This is because high heat is required to seal the treatment into your hair. Since damaged hair is brittle and prone to breakage, it may not even be able to stand the initial treatment process.
- Nourishing your hair
- Using proper aftercare products and repair masks can help strengthen hair if you’re worried about damage. Only use products that are intended for use on treated hair.
- Should you colour before or after treatment?
- Ideally, you should colour or tone your hair after a Keratin or Nanoplasty treatment. This is because Keratin can lighten your hair by 1-2 tones and Nanoplasty by 2-3 tones. A colour treatment performed before Keratin or Nanoplasty could result in a much lighter hair colour than you intended.
- Colouring After Treatment: You can colour straight after our treatment
- Bleach Before Treatment: We recommend that you bleach your hair 2-4 weeks before the treatment.
- Bleach After Treatment: If you want to bleach your hair after the treatment, we recommend you wait for 2-4 weeks. Ideally, this would have been done 2 weeks before your Keratin Treatment or Nanoplasty.
